Techno-logy

Two great technological pioneers of our time featured in the news this week. The first was Elon Musk whose son, who is possibly called 'X Æ A-12', was born on Monday (electro-pop musician Grimes is the child's mother); 2 days later Florian Schneider, founding partner of electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk, died.

Reading the profiles of these two groundbreaking innovators got me thinking about technology (which isn't really my thing) and how reliant we now are on it and the internet. One of Musk's current projects is Starlink, a satellite constellation being constructed by his company SpaceX to provide satellite Internet access.

Workshop is unlikely to be subscribing to Starlink but we do have great wi-fi throughout the building with our Ubiquiti Unifi system, it's something that is easy to take for granted but after a couple of months of dodgy home internet connections I for one will be happy to get back to a superfast and reliable professional setup (for which big thanks go to Adam, ongoing).
